Photography Background
I’ve been photographing across the country since 2013, capturing everything from athletic events and branding portraits to family sessions and out-of-state weddings. Each project is different, keeping me curious and inspired, and helping me build a versatile, adaptable style that works for any story.
I started in sports photography and photojournalism because I could hide behind the lens and capture candid moments—perfect for an introvert! But over time, I wanted more than just snapshots. That curiosity led me to stylized portraits of athletes, artists, and brands, where I could experiment with lighting, creative ideas, and my own vision while connecting with the people I photographed.
Eventually, I started photographing families, weddings, and charity events that inspire connection and hope—and through that I discovered a love for capturing real, joyful moments that I don’t have to hide from, rather I can be some small part in.
Photography has given me so much more than just technical skills; it’s helped me connect with people, tell meaningful stories, and create images that feel authentic and timeless. Whether it’s sharing the story of a cancer survivor, an athlete trying to make the big leagues, or a couple declaring their love on their wedding day, my goal is to help every subject shine through their photos.
When I’m Not Working
I am an incredibly grateful husband first and foremost. It’s an overused saying, but my wife has unquestionably been my most steadfast supporter, encourager, and best friend for the past 15 years and spending time with her is my greatest source of happiness.
We love being in nature. I’m a beach guy, my wife is a lake gal, and we both love being somewhere in the mountains, so long as we’re not hiking straight uphill for hours.
Traveling is a great source of joy for both of us, and one of my favorite things about exploring a new place is waking up before the sun rises and going out and making pictures before the city comes alive.
Being on a golf course is probably my biggest dopamine and serotonin boost, but unfortunately, my first and only hole-in-one was never witnessed by another person, completely invalidating the accomplishment altogether.
I love steaks, whiskey, self-help books, and the occasional trashy sci-fi movie.
Oh, I also have a cat named Charlie, and he’s legit my best friend in the whole world. I might lose cool points for that one, and I’m just going to have to live with that.
